The company
Süwag is a regional energy utility in Germany, part of the E.ON group, headquartered in Frankfurt. Süwag2GO is its shared-mobility brand: app-based, free-floating electric moped sharing, running on 100% green electricity, launched in Frankfurt in 2019 as “Frank-e” and rolled out under local names in several German cities since.
The challenge
For a utility, shared mobility is a way to extend its EV and charging business into everyday city life, but only if it can get a real service on the street quickly, without becoming a software company to do it.
On Wunder Mobility
Süwag launched its sharing service on Wunder Mobility’s platform and went from decision to live operation in about three months, then scaled it city by city, mostly through cooperation agreements with the municipalities it serves.
The results
Süwag2GO has grown from a first fleet of a few dozen e-mopeds in Frankfurt to roughly 650 vehicles across several German cities. In its 2023 season alone it served more than 12,000 customers and reports having saved over 17 tonnes of CO₂.
